It has taken me so long to write about this product. I have had it for such a long time but never really loved it, then I fell in love with it for a different reason. Before I share that reason with you, I want to give you some information on the product itself...
Last weekend I went to England to visit my family. I attended a birthday party in my 'local' pub. As I don't go out very often I decided to dress up and put a 'full face' of make up on. Unfortunately I was limited to what I could bring, so I made the most of what I had. Yes, it was another brown smokey eye, but this happens to be one of my favourites. I thought I would re-create this look for you and let you know all the products I used. Here goes...
I have been enjoying the warmer days we have had here in Switzerland, I adjusted my daily make up routine to suit! I love the look of healthy, glowing skin. The older I get the more I am starting to embrace my skin, it's not perfect by any means but on a daily basis I am enjoying using BB creams again. They are perfect for the warmer weather and feel super light on the skin. Now, that's not to say I no longer like full coverage foundation, believe me, I do! But I'm just really enjoying that 'my skin' look. It also cuts out so much time when it comes to doing my make up. The problem...

I am attending a small festival here in the town where I live this weekend, and whilst I'm not usually one for dressing up I had agreed to make an effort because it was my friends birthday! So , this is what i came up with. If you would like a full list of products or even a tutorial then just let me know.
These pictures aren't great, please excuse the headphones, I was actually just taking them to send to a friend but decided to put them on here. Anyway, I hope you like it, I'm looking forward to creating it tomorrow!!!
Recently I have been searching for more 'high street' brands. I came across Catrice in my local supermarket and thought I would give it a go.
I came out with the Nude Illusion Foundation is the shade 010 Nude Ivory. After doing some research I had some pretty high expectations, but part of me was very apprehensive because it was so cheap!
After doing the research I was expecting a lightweight mattifying coverage, healthy glow and a flawless and natural finish. To be honest some of this didn't really make sense, how can you have a matt finish but still have a healthy glow? Anyway, I went ahead a tried it.
Before I show you the pictures I wanted to explain that I...
I have recently discovered a new favourite eyebrow product that I wanted to review and decided while I was at it, maybe I should just tell you about my latest routine!
So, I like most people think the eyebrows are an essential part of any make up look, lets face it if they aren't groomed and looked after they can look awful. Now I know filled in eyebrows aren't for everyone, but for my everyday look I try to make them look as natural as possible.
To do this I use a powder and a brow gel. Now I must admit I go through phases of powder, pencils and pomade's! But for my natural everyday brows my favourite is powder and gel. I...
I absolutely love this look, the eye make up is neutral, so you can wear it with pretty much any lip colour. I have done two examples in this post, starting off with a nude lip then changing to a bold lip.
I did use two new products while putting this look together, they are both by NYX, the first was the jumbo eye pencil in milk, I have seen this featured in so many tutorials I couldn't wait to try it when it arrived (yes I am aware this product has been around for a long time!). The other was a nude matte shadow, it has been my go to nude shade to use on my lids since I first...
I have recently fallen in love with all the Autumn lip shades available, a year ago I wouldn't have even thought about these dark colours, but I'm really starting to enjoy them!
I love to wear these shades with no eye make up, I literally mean none! If you wanted to you could pop some mascara on, but I saw this look on a cat walk recently and loved it. Yes, to some it is a daring colour, but with a good base and no eye make up on it isn't too much, you can totally pull this off for a daytime look. Another way to tone it down, is if you have your hair down, with your hair pulled back...
I was going through my eyeshadow palettes and realised that I hadn't yet done a make up look using foil shadow, so I thought I would! I haven't listed all the products that I used because lately I seem to be using all the same base products. So I am just going to list the products used on my eyes and lips.
